Now’s the time to bring it to life and show us what you've got!

Any instrument. Any level. Any vibe.
Just make sure it's pure RIFF LIFE energy, and it fits within the 120-second limit.




Tune it, twist it, rehearse it, and when you're ready, record your take and upload it at the bottom of this page before the enrollment deadline.

The Timeline:

Here are the different stages of the contest:

• Until Nov 30th, Preparation phase: Choose what to play, how to play it, and practice as much as you want.
• From Dec 1st 'till Dec 15th, Enrollment phase: Record and submit your video to join the contest.
• From Dec 16th 'till Dec 25th, Voting phase: Listen to other's videos and give medals to your very own "Top 3".
• On Dec 26th, Results time: Every participants' total scores are published, and rewards are shipped to the winners.

The Rules:

Rules to respect (any violation will reduce your votes by the specific rate):

• On Time [-30%]: Enroll on time, respect the deadline.
• Theme [-30%]: Play shit from Blackened song only, even reworked, it must stay in this song.
• Duration [-25%]: Stay under 120 seconds. Not a second more!!
• Orientation [-20%]: Use 'landscape' mode, in your video, avoid the use of 'portait' one.
• Visual "RIFF LIFE" [-10%]: "Riff Life" must appear visually all along your video in any form: hand-written paper, video watermark, or official T-shirt worn: it's up to you!
• Be creative! [-0%]: Unlike most of previous contests, you can use backtracks, multi-tracks, etc. as long as all that's played is done by you!
